In my science project I wanted to know which gum would have the longest lasting taste.
My guess was that the more it costs, the longer the taste will last.
How I tested my hypothesis:
| |
1. |
My dad and I went to Alberton's and perchased seven different packages of gum at different prices.
| |
2. |
My dad, my sister, and I chewed the same gum and timed how long each of us thought the flavor lasted. When the taste was gone, we ate a cracker and drank some water.
| | |
3. |
I made a chart and wrote down :
| | |
What gum we chewed
| |
The time we began to chew
| | |
The time each of us thought the gum lost its flavor
| | |
I calculated how long each of us thought the flavor lasted.
| | |
4. |
I then took the times I had gathered for each gum and calculated the average time the flavor lasted for each gum.
| | |
My hypothesis was wrong. The cost of the gum had nothing to do with how long the taste lasted.
