Tune: "When the Roll is Called Up Yonder"
Verse 1
God de-liv-ered Jer-i-cho to Josh-u-a so long a-go.
We will see just how the sto-ry came a-bout.
And the ci-ty was shut up be-cause the men were fear-ful, so
No one could come in and no one could go out.
Refrain *
March a-round the ci-ty one time
On day one, day two and three, four,
Five and six, and then the next day
March a-round the ci-ty sev-en ti-mes more.

Verse 2
All the peo-ple fol-lowed Josh-u-a
And not a sound was heard
But the trum-pets blow-ing loud and long and clear.
On the sev-enth day when all was done
There was a trum-pet blast,
Then a shout, the walls fell down, the vic'-try's here!
Refrain *
March a-round the ci-ty one time
On day one, day two and three, four,
Five and six, and then the next day
March a-round the ci-ty sev-en ti-mes more.
*Suggested hand motions for the refrain:
Line 1: with right hand index finger pointing up, make one big circle in the air
Line 2: on the word "one" point up with right index finger, "two" add middle finger, "three" add ring finger, "four" add little finger
Line 3: "five" extend thumb of right hand, "six" add index finger left hand, "next day" add middle finger left hand. Seven fingers are now showing.
Line 4: with right hand index finger pointing up, make several circles in the air while you sing the last line.
