CHAPEL PROGRAM
CAREFULNESS

Memory verse:
"Do not repay anyone evil for evil.
Be CAREFUL to do
what is right in the eyes of everybody."
Romans 12:17

We read some other verses from the Bible.

Ephesians 5:15-17

Hebrews 2:1

We presented a skit
about a boy named Jason
who was not careful
in choosing his friends.
He picked up some bad habits
in the same way his dog got fleas
from staying at his friend's house.

The story was called "It's Catching".

FAMILY SHOWS ON TV
We are being careful when we watch family shows on TV
which present values that are pleasing to God.

GOSPEL MUSIC
It is good to sing songs about Jesus
and about God and His love for us.

GOOD CLEAN GAMES
I will play video games which are fun,
but I will choose games which don't teach me
to be mean and cruel to other people.

CHRISTIAN FRIENDS
I will be careful to have Christian friends
as my close friends.
People who do wrong may influence me to do wrong also.

BIBLE STUDY
We are living carefully if we study our Bibles
to learn about God and His will for us.

GOOD BOOKS
I will be careful to choose good books
which will help my mind and my spirit to grow.

(We threw these in the trash.)

GORY VIDEO GAMES
I am living carelessly if I play gory video games.
They will cause my heart to become hard and uncaring.
I need to get rid of this.

WORLDLY FRIENDS
We are not being careful
if we choose worldly people to be our close friends.
They will influence us to do things that are wrong.
We will discard this.

BAD LANGUAGE
I must not carelessly use God's name in vain.
I will get rid of all swearing and evil speaking.

IMMORAL TV SHOWS
I need to be careful to not watch bad TV shows.
I would not want to feed my body garbage,
and neither do I want to feed my mind garbage.
We'll get rid of this.

VIOLENT MOVIES
I will not go to see violent movies,
even though some of my friends do these things.
We need to get rid of this one.

SONG

Be careful with your eyes, what you see.
Be careful with your eyes, what you see.
For the Father up above is looking down in love,
So be careful with your eyes what you see.

Be careful with your ears, what you hear etc.
Be careful with your hands, what you do etc.
Be careful with your feet, where you go etc.
