The lambs are about to be born. Nathaniel's brother, Benjamin, arrives to take the males to another pasture for a few days. Before Benjamin arrived Nathaniel had 8 sheep. Nathaniel knows that half the sheep are male. How many male sheep will Benjamin take with him?

To do this problem we must first know that "half" is ½ (one divided by two). So to calculate the number of males, we must divide the total number of sheep by 2.
