These verbs show being.

is, was, were, am


Verb tense tells when something is happening .
Verb tense can be very complex. We are presenting a very simple form.

Present

I eat.
She eats.
They eat.

Past

I ate.
She ate.
They ate.

Future

I will eat.
He will eat.
They will eat.

Present Perfect

I am eating.
She is eating.
They are eating.

Past Perfect

I have (had) eaten.
He has (had) eaten.
They have (had) eaten.
