Thank you for joining the Garden of Praise mailing list. We have completed the big upgrade to add the community feature.

We envision this community as a place where school teachers, homeschool parents, Bible school teachers and others interested in education can come and share ideas. If you need a solution to an educational problem, we invite you to post your question to our members. Probably someone has encountered and solved a similar problem. If you have an idea which has worked for you, share it with others. We want this to be a place where you can make new friends and be an encouragement to each other.

When you get to your profile page you will see blue tabs. You will be able to post comments which will be public, or you can contact members directly by email if they have selected that option. You can add pictures (see the "instructions" for doing this). You can find friends, view your classes, or view the results of tests you have given.

We would encourage you to add your picture to your profile to make our community a friendly place to visit.

I have started a series of biographies about authors on the Biographies for Kids page. Each biography includes free activities for the students. They will find crossword puzzles, word searches, scrambled word puzzles, pictures to color, study sheets and worksheets, as well as many online activities. Here are the latest.

Laura Ingalls Wilder wrote the series of "Little House" books for children. They are recollections of her life as a child growing up on the frontier of early America.

Samuel Clemens, better known by his pseudonym, Mark Twain, was a prolific author and humorist who gave us Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn as well as many other books and short stories.
