School is starting again and we at Garden of Praise stand ready to help you in any way we can to make this year interesting and profitable for your students.

This summer has been devoted to making Word Match Puzzles for the 88 Biographies for Kids (Famous Leaders for Young Readers). Actually, they are sentence matches. You can print copies of the puzzles and your students can draw lines to connect the beginning of the sentence in the left-hand column to the words that complete the sentence in the right-hand column. The sentences are taken from the text of the Biographies for Kids. You will find a solution to each puzzle at the bottom of each biography page.

A Personal Note:

I have been caring for my husband Murray, who has Alzheimer's disease, for the past five years and it had become too hard physically for me to care for him at home. Then last month I learned through a friend about a nursing facility that seemed to be the answer to our prayers and they had an opening. My friend said, "Pat this a God-thing. You need to put some money down to hold it". That's what I did and we moved him to Comfort Cottage on July 23rd. It is just 10 minutes from the house.

It is in a home in a residential area in Garland and they care for four patients. They cook the meals for them, bathe them, dress them, give them loving care, and take care of all their needs. Murray has a private bedroom and bath, and there are three ladies in the two bedrooms on the other side of the house. It's a wonderful arrangement and I am so thankful. Murray was unhappy for just a few days, but he has adjusted well and thinks of it as home now. I highly recommend this kind of care.

It has also opened up a new ministry for me. I took my Yamaha keyboard over there last week and I go Monday through Friday and spend an hour and a half or two hours with Murray and play music for the residents while they eat lunch. Donna, one of the residents, used to play the violin in a symphony orchestra and she is especially appreciative.
