The iron on the left is a gasoline iron. The pump was used to pump it up. The other is a six-pound "sad" iron. You would have a pair of irons on the stove. When the iron you were using began to cool, you would exchange it for the hot one
that was still on the stove.
These butter molds would hold about a pound of butter. One of them is hinged to open up and release the butter; the other has a handle to push the butter out the opposite end.
