On the evening news recently I saw a segment about a computer program that highlighted the words as the text was read orally. Dyslexic students were using it to learn to read.

I worked with children with learning disabilities for thirteen years and used color coding extensively. Read more about using colored overlays here in this article from the National Reading Styles Institute

Please give me some feedback on these lessons. I need to know if some colors work better than others for helping the child to read better. Are some colors troublesome or distracting to your child? Help me with this and we can continue to improve the page.
