CRAPE MYRTLES
In 1993 we arranged to have 100 crape myrtles set out
on the campus at Dallas Christian School. We had
friends, George and Reba LaRoe, who five years earlier
had set out 600 small crape myrtles on their farm in
East Texas. The trees at the time we moved them were
4-8 feet tall. Most of them have survived and
flourished. We water them, prune them, and feed them
in the springtime.
The varieties are:
Low Flame (bright rose red)
New Snow (white)
America (brilliant ruby red)
Pink Snowflake (ruffled pink and white)
