Some people underline in their Bible. Robbie "droodles" in her Bible. What is a DROODLE? It is merely a little simple drawing you can draw in your own Bible margin relative to the story beside it, that will help YOU to find that passage of scripture surprisingly fast the next time. Example

You will need a wide margin to draw your droodles. You may want to draw ideas of your own instead of copying these pictures, and that is fine, as these are here only if you can't think of better ones. Be certain to have a pen that has a "fine" point and one that the ink will not "feed" through to the other side of the page. Be careful of red ink as it really has a tendency to fade through.

The Gospel Train - Harmony of the Gospels was developed by Robbie Sikes who lives in York, Nebraska. Her husband, Jack, passed away recently. They raised 13 children, eleven by birth and two foster children.

She and her husband spent years caring for children. She writes, "From February 1, 1956 until July 1, 1958 we worked with the New Mexico Christian Children's Home, Portales, NM. From July 1, 1958 to September 1961 Jack was Campus Manager of The Tipton Home, Tipton, Oklahoma. From September 1961 to September 1978 Jack was Superintendent at Westview Boys' Home, Hollis, Oklahoma. From September, 1978 to February 1, 2001 Jack was Superintendent at Cornhusker Christian Children's Home, Culbertson, Nebraska. It was an exact total of 35 consecutive years to the day. I was general flunky of cook, laundress, secretary, barber, chorus director, etc. while giving birth to 6 more of our 11 children."

Robbie was trained as a concert violinist, but raising their large family didn't leave much time to "fiddle around". She has spoken at numerous Christian college lectureships and Ladies day Meetings. Sikes Family to be Honored at York College Homecoming

2018-02-24 I love the idea of this, but it seems strange to me that the cross is under the feast of Tabernacles rather than Passover...?? C
2017-12-22 I first discovered the Gospel Train while I was a graduate student in Bible and my wife attended one of Robbie's classes. I struggled with the chronology of the life of Christ as a "serious" student who had no time for "children's stuff." Foolish me! My wife was patient, taught me the train and I've been using it in churches for over 40 years! Later I met Johnie at a Preacher's Luncheon and he shared the "zip codes" with us. God bless them both!
