We have a new presidential biography for you this month. We accept suggestions for biographies which would be helpful in your work with your students.

Harry S. Truman, 33rd President of the United States, became president when Franklin D. Roosevelt died in 1945. World War 2 was in progress and the new president was thrust into a role for which he felt unprepared. Japan would not surrender and the United States had developed a new weapon which could end the war quickly. What should he do? Read how Truman met the challenges of the presidency in the 1940's.
