In this story there is a black crow which is always hungry and ate 8 corn. The crow is on the mother's head, (so naturally our first scripture is found in Matthew 8).
This black crow has a thermometer taped to each of his 8 toes to measure the extremely high fever. Why does it take 8 thermometers? The fever was so high the first seven thermometers broke, but finally the 8th one works. Wow! What a high fever! (If you would like a similar hook, hold up 8 fingers to represent the thermometers. Put all 8 fingers in your mouth at the same time. Try that!)
Now put your arms in a large circle over your chest. This is 1 large snowball to get the fever down quickly. It doesn't get it down quickly, but it does help.
The doctor finally comes and gives her 4 shots in the hip to get the fever under control before she has a heart attack! (Jab 4 fingers on one of your hips. Ouch - Ouch - Ouch - Ouch! That smarts.
head+8 = Matthew 8
chest+1 = Mark 1
hip+4 = Luke 4
