Jews and Samaritans were not allowed to mix; neither were lepers and
healthy. Jesus cured ten lepers; only one came back to thank him, a
Samaritan:-lesson one. Lepers mixed:-lesson two.

I cringe when I hear one take the name of our Lord in vain. After recently
hearing it freely, and numerously done by an associate, I wrote the
following poem:
His Name In Vain
by Ron Tranmer
©
Commandments given by our God Direct us here on
earth. How we choose to keep them Will determine our soul’s
worth.
The third commandment tells us Not to take God’ s
name in vain. “If you love Me, Keep My
commandments”, This scripture makes it plain.
God will not
“hold him guiltless” Who degrades His Holy Name. Such
Disrespect for Deity, Should make one feel great shame.
Respect
the God who gave us life, And Christ, who died for you. Treat their
name’s with reverence In all you say and do.

I made a change, I think for the better, to the last stanza of my "The
"The Grateful Leper" poem. It now is:
The Grateful
Leper by Ron Tranmer ©
The Bible tells the story of ten lepers, I
recall. They came with hope in Jesus and He healed them, one and
all.
But only one of them turned back, and gave thanks on bended
knee, at the feet of Christ who healed him from his awful
leprosy.
Do we show a grateful heart to our Father up
above, for the blessings that He gives us, and His never ending
love?
Like the returning leper, may we too, on bended
knee, give thanks to Christ our Savior who died for you and
me.
(Let me know if you think the original was better.)

Here's a poem I wrote that relates to this wonderful story. Ron

May the lesson of the leper be one we will always
heed as we show a grateful heart with each action, and each
deed.
