We have an outstanding exhibit this summer at the Dallas Arboretum featuring the glass sculpture of Dale Chihuly. Shortly after the exhibit opened, we had a terrible hail storm with estimates of $2 billion in damage, but fortunately the Chihuly exhibit experienced only minimal damage.
Our ladies class at church visited the Dale Chihuly exhibit in May. This biography of Chihuly will help children to learn more about this gifted artist.
This biography of Jimmy Carter, the 39th President of the United States, includes many facts about his life as a child and his accomplishment during his presidency. Since he left office he has made significant contributions to world peace and humanitarian causes.
A Personal Note:
My sweet husband Murray Stevens passed away on June 15th after a long battle with Alzheimer's and kidney disease. This memorial is to honor his memory. I will be glad to correspond with anyone who is dealing with a loved one with Alzheimer's disease if it would be helpful to you. I understand what you are going through.
