Thank you for giving of your talents in helping struggling sunday school teachers to teach their children about Jesus. I was looking for the story about Onesimus who ran away from his master Philemon. Philemon was Paul's friend and so when Onesimus ended up in Rome as Paul's friend and became a christian too, Paul set him back to Philemon with a letter asking Philemon to forgive Onesimus and to take him back. You have the story of Paul in prison so I will just need to add on from there I guess.

I appreciated this herstory of Rosa Parks, however, the statement that she just decided on her own one day, that she wouldn't move to the back of the bus is not quite accurate. Working closely with the NAACP and other civil rights groups, this action had been discussed, debated and planned for quite a while. This is, in fact, why these groups were able to spring into action, so quickly. I agree with you that one person can make a huge difference, however, let's not forget that when we decide to be activists and challenge the dominant societal structure, we can connect with and depend on a larger community for encouragement and support so that our actions will have the greatest impact. Thi is a beautiful, inspired song - so thank you very much for it. I am creating a blessing ceremony for my great-niece who is just 1 month old. She has been born during a very difficult year for her parents who are dealing with a very rare form of cancer that has afflicted their young son. The family comproses one other child - the eldest, who is a girl. The ceremony is part of my Interfaith training, and I hope one day soon to be able to deliver it to my dear family.

His father's name was Gregorio, his mother was Lucia, his brother was Francesco and his sister's name was Orsa. Thought you might want to know this because there is not alot of information on the Vecellio (or Vecelli) family. Hope this helps! :)

My 7 yr old son & I just finished reading the book, "The Long Winter". In your synopsis above with regard to that book, you mention that it was Almanzo and his brother (Royal) that went to get the wheat for the starving townspeople. However, the book indicates it was not Almanzo's brother that went with him; it was Cap Garland (a 19 yr old from town). Just thought I'd throw that out there. :)

and gave thanks on bended knee,
at the feet of Christ who healed him
from his awful leprosy.

Do we show a grateful heart

for the blessings that He gives us,
and His never ending love?

Like the returning leper,

Wow, no offence, but this website kind of sucks. Who made this?? A ten year old? The choice of words is very childish, and whoever wrote this had their information all wrong.I mean "While she was in college she wrote her book called 'The Story of My Life'. With the money she earned from the book she was able to buy a house". Come on!! This sentence could have been written by a nine year old. "She was able to buy a house" Who cares if she bought a house. And you don't even say if it was a big house, a mansion, a small house, etc. Sorry,but I will never visit this website again.
This website was written for children and their teachers. You need to go elsewhere to get the information you require.
